“Is this what we get for showing up on Saturday?” one person asked.  Yes.  You get to run around a beautiful park on a beautiful day, to get stronger both physically and mentally, and to moan and groan the whole way.

I’ve been wanting to do Murph for some time now and today just seemed like the right time.  People had the option to do “Murph lite” or “Murph liter”.

We’ve had to redraw our running course.

We can no longer run up the alleyway on the side of the building and instead must run all the way to 4th and come up the sidewalk.  The owner had come by a few weeks ago to tell me that it is private property but that she doesn’t have a problem with us using it so long as she isn’t liable if one of us falls.  Then yesterday I received a letter from her lawyer chiding us for being bad neighbors by using their property and threatening to sue.  He even included a fake Summons to Superior Court to show that they’re serious.  Apparently good neighbors threaten each other with legal action.

At any rate, we will not use that alleyway anymore.  Our new running course is just shy of 500m.  Also, please do not park in the veterinary parking lot, that was mentioned in the letter.

Moving on to more important things that I forgot to mention yesterday, Jan got his first muscle-up, then quickly got 4 more.  Seth, Tyler’s friend visiting from out of town got his first muscle-up later in the afternoon.  Heidi W. got her first pull-up at lunch.  Well done all of you!

Does this mean we should not to park in the vet’s parking lot when they are closed too? Or does this only apply during their hours of operation?

  2. Morgan says:

I’m pretty sure it means never ever.

  3. brett says:

then wouldnt 400m just be down to the corner and then straight back up?

how would the class formats be setup (start time) with your hours how they are now?

  4. Morgan says:

Yeah, I just checked Google Earth and our new new course will be: from the door turn right, go to the stop sign, turn around and go to 6th ave, touch the light post on the corner and come back. Google Earth tells me it’s almost 400m exactly.
