Chipper

Amy and Ashley go up

Despite having lunges at the start, today’s wasn’t so bad was it?  Lot’s of variety, it had some KB swings which we haven’t done in a while, and Knees to Elbows which are a perennial favorite.

This format of workout is called a Chipper.  It has many different movements, done at high reps, once through.  It got that name either because each rep simply chips away at the total work to be done, or because at the end it spits you out like you just went through a wood chipper.

Tomorrow several of us will be going to Thrush O-lifting gym in Sumner.  You can find them on a map here.  It takes about 20-30 minutes to get from Tacoma to Sumner depending on traffic.  Class starts at 5:30 so people who want to carpool, meet at the gym by 4:45.  Cars will leave at precisely 5:55.  To clarify, Thrush contracts with Crossfit Tacoma, and as such it is CF Tacoma that pays for the seminar.  Individuals participating can either pay at our gym, or pay Leon at Thrush.

We will have classes as normal tomorrow for anyone not going.  I’m really looking forward to the workout tomorrow, it looks like fun.
