Smell the Glove

It saddens me to have to say this.  But let’s say you’ve been hanging from a bar and tear some skin, and you superglue it down.  Then someone offers you a pair of gloves instead of telling you to buck up.  Don’t, I repeat do not immediately put the gloves on over your freshly glued hands.  Glue is funny stuff and doesn’t differentiate between hand and fabric.

31 July 09 026Those of you who did today’s workout got to try inverted dips.  I’m sure they have another name elsewhere, but I “discovered” them when I had too much time on my hands with a pair of rings available.  Funny what boredom and rings will produce.  At any rate I like them, and I was pleased with how people were able to handle them.  I have lately found myself very curious to learn more about what we can do with rings.  Consider yourself warned.

On a last note, there is a Strongman/woman contest in Sumner tomorrow.  It’s too late to enter, but it’s fun to go watch.  Had I had more forewarning, I would have organized a team, but that’ll have to wait for next year.

    I wasnt sure what to expect from the “inverted dips” But knowing that it was part of a WOD I knew there had to be some sorta difficulty. Around rep 7 I found out. Those killed my forearms and biceps! Arms were super inflated. Thanks leon and morgan for taking the WOD off :)

    My goal at the start of this week was to get the green box every day, but after 4 hard days culminating in F50 I felt so whipped I needed a rest day. And Leon did do 1RM FSquat.

    Yea I saw that squat, 285! Nice job leon. If I did that my WOD would have been in the bathroom. Im about to sign up for the SEAL challenge..you in morgan? Lets do it man

    Ben- I’m glad it didn’t go unnoticed.

    DLove- I’m still on the fence about the SEAL challenge. It’d be cool to go to a competition and the standards seem doable, but I’m not sure sit-ups push-ups and pull-ups are worth the trip. I’m still thinking about it.
