Danny is a benchmark “hero” workout named after Daniel Sakai an Oakland police officer who was killed last March.  You can read a little of his story here.   It proved to be a tough tough workout, or so it seemed.  I wisely took my rest day today.  At the time I left the gym I think the highest score was just over 4 rounds completed.

If Danny wasn’t to your liking you could do “Israel” named after our own local “hero” in honor of his birthday today.  Any guesses on how old he is?  I see that we missed Sid’s birthday yesterday and it’s Kyle M’s b-day Friday.  Do they need some birthday love too?  But given how tough the Israel workout was, I think only one person not named Israel actually did it.  Perhaps only people too young to vote will get future b-day workouts.
