Tetanus Shot

And you thought SPUDs were hard enough already.
I called this one Tetanus Shot because I knew the shoulders would reach muscle failure and by the end we’d all be flailing our arms around like octopi on Novocaine. Times like this make me glad I have no hair to comb or blow dry.
I do have to say that the lunch hour ladies were very impressive. By the end they were all walking around with guns that would make the the NRA swoon. Speaking of which, Brianne did a great job running the afternoon/evening classes. It so happened that despite our plans, both Leon and I were able to be there, but it was nice to just be a participant and watch things happen.
This provides a nice little segue into another topic. We have recently had an abundance of people attend Crossfit Level 1 certifications. Several of whom are enthusiastic and ready to share what they’ve learned. This is great. We as a community benefit when individuals learn and share with each other. To that end, we want to support this, and perhaps the best way to master something is to learn to teach it. So if you Level 1ers are interested, we are willing to allow you to program and teach Saturday workouts; with some guidance and supervision, of course. If masterminding a WOD and watching your friends suffer through it sounds like fun, email me or talk to a trainer and we’ll set it up.
On a different topic altogether, there have been a couple of recent requests for an earlier start time in the morning. Are there others out there who would attend a 5 or a 5:30am class? 5:30 would mean changing the entire morning schedule to 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30. Would that be preferable or would it screw things up for you? We’re nowhere close to making a decision on this but want to hear what will work best for you morning people.

I just started attending the 9 since the boys started school and I drop them off around the corner at 8:40, so my vote is keep the 9.
I also know that Karen drops her kids off just before 9 and hustles in for the 9 class.
I second keeping the 9 am class. I drop my girls off at 8:50 and try to get there as quickly as possible. Unless you’re missing having my quite, docile, well behaved children come, then by all means switch the times,we’ll just bless the evening classes with our presence:)
Like the new spelling of my name. Nice job Emmi on the green box!
Way to go Emmi!!
A-n-d-r-e-a? Isn’t how you spell it?
Watch out Emmi, she doesn’t like to share.
Thanks for the opportunity to run the afternoon and evening classes. It was so much fun. It was also nice to have Leon around for questions when I needed. I have been joking since Eden started 1st grade that every day all she says about school is “it was the best day ever!” I now know how she feels.
Andrea I think your name is spelled right, silly girl.
So for some reason it didn’t post my earlier comment.(I spelled my name wrong on that one). I did however say on that post that I’d prefer to keep the 9 am class unless you miss my kids running around, I can bring them to the afternoon class.
Leon,
I don’t mind sharing once in a while:)
Ah! Anytime someone new posts a comment it holds it for approval. Since Andeea had never commented before it had to be given official approval.
Oh now it posts, what is wrong with this thing!
I approved it.
Morgan,
5:30 class would be great..this will fit my wife’s schedule. However, I vote we keep the 9:00 class.

That seems to be the consensus. Perhaps a 5:30 and 6:30 then an 8 and 9.
I would like a 5:30 class for days that I work, but can make it work otherwise if it doesn’t happen.
Depending on who and how many people show up for the 5:30am class. Would it be possible to still keep the 6, 7, 8, & 9? The people that I see (including myself) that would come at 5:30am are pretty self-sufficient. Just putting the idea out there.
that last comment was Matt’s not Amanda’s. I am on Amanda’s computer.
Kyle says he would go to a 5:30 and I like the 8 and 9 classes. Somehow meshing the :30 and :00 start times sounds good-Matt’s/Amamda’s suggestion was good.
I like Matt/Amanda’s suggestion as well. I’m a regular at the 6:00 am and would prefer to keep that class if the other regulars are too.
