Bizarro world

Real life doesn’t have handles.  It’s why sandbag training has so much potential.  We’ve never been able to do as much of it as I’ve wanted.  8 100# power cleans would have been doable by most women and men if it had been a bar.  As soon as I get a hold of a sewing machine we’re going to have a lot more sandbags around.  Anyone have a spare sewing machine?

Is anyone else enjoying the Ring Planks as much as I am?  They’re simple, they work the shoulder through a wide range or motion, they put a heavy load on the trunk muscles, and we’re all really weak at them.  A lot of good reasons to do more of them.

So what was the workout going to be for the challenge event?

  2. Jeff T says:

This one wore me out (nothing unusual there) but I’m glad it had a name so I’ll know when it comes up again. Lot of room for improvement. I like the sandbags and the ropes.

Thanks Emily–too bad its not a picture of me doing a hand stand somewhere awesome though! Tony from our gym is in there also, and Rachel C who will be dropping in when she’s not in Alaska. It was a great experience, almost dropped a minute off my Fran time from Thurs too!
