More Snatches Please

More work with the snatch today. This movement is beginning to come together for those of you who have been putting in the time and effort. In the above picture, notice the early arm bend. Tom’s hips are not fully extended (in fact they never fully extend in this particular lift) and yet his arms are already bent. I’m not pointing this out to pick on Tom, but to illustrate common errors that are drastically limiting your ability to generate power.
I got some video of a few of you today and I will be putting some of those up in the next couple of days with some more detailed analysis that will hopefully increase every one’s understanding of such a technical lift.

I do NOT like snatches! However, such areas of weakness for me = the need for more practice.
