Volcano Article

Last month a writer for The Volcano attended our On Ramp class. It was fun, she’s a gamer and although the workouts were tough, she got through them. Her article about her experience is in this week’s edition. Go pick one up or read it online here. I’m curious if her thought process during the first few weeks of Crossfit mirrored your own. I liked her comment about the physical-mental-psychological challenge of it. It resonates with me.

In reading anothers thoughts it is interesting, I do not recall exactly how I felt after my first WOD, Ouch comes to mind. I do know that I loved Crossfit, and everyday continue to love it more. What I learned quickly is that it never gets easier as we just push harder the better, faster, stronger we get. Once again I want to thank our coaches for pushing us to always be better.
the thoughts expressed in the article hit close to home i remember being humbled by my first visit and coming back everyday afetr that and just saying you need this and it was and still is fun to be a part of this gym. I know i would not be able to keep up a fitness routine with out the suport and encouragement of this comunity so thank you to our trainers and our athletes…………
Im not sure what’s scarier, the thoughts of my first workout or Jan’s facial expression! I love everything about crossfit and the fiendships I have made. There is no way I would have found my level of fitness or the lifetime friendships at a regular global gym.
I couldn’t agree more with you guys. Especially when it comes to our trainers. I remember my first meeting with Morgan, his passion for Crossfit was easily apparent and he expressed a genuine interest in the development of each person at the gym. And I’ve realized this about every trainer I’ve met in my time at CFT.
*Side note, Pat…I don’t know if you remember. The partner 5,000 row, alternating 500 meters, from back in September. My most humbling experience ever. Having to walk away after the second rotation, throw up, then come back and finish. I felt pretty satisfied after that workout.
Haha thanks cory! We were talking about that incident at breakfast today and nobody knew who it was who threw up. Thanks for clarifying
Really, hahaha!! I need to get a “Pukie” t-shirt after that performance.
yes i just remember at one point seeing leon next to me rowing and thinking that cant be good………
