I love the new format for lift days, we’re making the time between lifts more productive. What do you guys think of the new format? Taking time to practice movements is nice, as well as challenging yourself with new movements (precision jumps). Suitcase and farmer carries are awesome for your posture, and I’m a big fan of balance work. Getting through 24 rope climbs was no easy feat, that felt harder than the front squats.
On another note, there was a group of us last Saturday at breakfast talking about having a paleo pot-luck night. Eating paleo isn’t much fun unless you know how to cook, so for those of us who can’t this is an opportunity to get some good food in exchange for some beer (at least I think that’s paleo). Also it would be a good idea to bring recipes to exchange. So I’m thinking the first Saturday of every month might work and alternate who’s hosting. Maybe if it gets big enough we could have it at the gym. So who would be interested, does the first Saturday of the month work, and who would be willing to host?







I like the paleo idea. I work on sat nights but I would love some new recipes. Im getting tired of plain chicken breasts, beans, and oreo cookies
The potlock sounds like a good idea, but I dont really know the restrictions for paleo. I also like the new lifting format. It takes away the monotomy of just normal reps.
I think the idea of a potluck sounds great! I live in the north end – less than a mile from the gym and would love to host! The more people the better!
Not as sure about the new strength format. The movements in between need to let the body part we are lifting really rest…and it kinda break my concentration..but I’m game for whatever you tell us to do
So, I can’t help but announce this, even though I’ve been out of town for the last month. I went and did a total in the base gym yesterday and got: OH press: 145. Squat: 350. Deadlift: 515. 1010 Total! I’m pretty stoked about it and needed to brag a little. Expect me to replicate in the gym when I get back

None of them actually, I just haven’t done a total in THAT long. Yeah, my shoulders suck
At least you can get full range in your shoulders
