Ninja Practice

Another lift day today, working on presses.  Couple of fun movements thrown in there, skin the cat and balance work.  Shoulder rolls are always good to practice, everyone is going to fall at some point.  Even if you don’t roll properly out of the fall, tumbling practice teaches you to tuck properly.  Extended limbs means broken limbs in a fall (I should know).  Green boxes today goes to Devin with 155 for three, Brandee, Megan, and Anna with 80.

Carpools leaving the gym at 6 am tomorrow morning for Monroe, and in case you’ve been living under a rock that means no workout at 9.  If you can’t make it out to Monroe to cheer our competitors on, find a pull-up bar at a park and try “Cindy”.  Don’t worry about all the strange looks you’ll get from people passing, just tell them you’re part of a cult.  I mean gym.

update from the sectionals: (you can’t necessarily trust the crossfit.com scores, they scored the second wod wrong) so…up until the third and final workout for the day (I had to leave half way through the third workout)…Morgan’s in fifth place for the men…on the women’s board, Brianne in 9th, Emmi in a tie for 14th, and Andrea in 17th. However, I saw all three of the girls do the third “fight gone bad” style workout and I think they all might be moving up a notch or two. So far today has been filled with some fabulous performances by all of our tacoma athletes. A job very well done to Morgan, Leon, Justin, Derek, Pat, Andrea, Brianne, Emmi, and thanks to our special celebrity judges, Joseph and Larissa. Can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow!

  3. Annamarie says:

Congrats to everyone on their first day at sectionals. I am sure more stellar performances are to come tomorrow.

Congratulations to those of you competing! It was fun watching the first two workouts yesterday, especially with a latte in hand. Those WODs looked brutal. Jo Ann took some pictures that we have online at http://everforward.com/cft If anyone wants the original pictures let me know.

Good job guys! Your performances are truly inspiring! I am bummed I couldn’t make it to day two. I keep hitting refresh on the scores to see how everyone is doing. It looks like there were some real monsters (men & women) out there for the deadlift! I have a feeling CFT will show well in that final sled drag/muscle up/double-under workout. Good luck! Leave it all out there!

  8. Cory says:

Good job so far CFT!! Keep it up!
