Group Training
Training in a group environment can be a little awkward for some people who aren’t used to it. While we do offer private training, we prefer groups for a few reasons.
Training with other people provides accountability. You will show up more often if you know that you’ll be missed. You’ll commit yourself to your workout if you know that you’ll be seen. Many times the only thing that has stopped me from quitting or putting in a half effort has been the presence of others nearby. I’m stronger and faster because of it.
Groups also provide competition. Now you may be the least competitive person in the world, but when you come in and you see everybody’s names and results written on the whiteboard, you’re going to start noticing people who are similar to you. You’ll use them as your rabbits, the people you like to chase. It’s no mystery that times get progressively faster throughout the day when everybody is trying to chase someone from earlier.
Support is another benefit to training with others. There is moral support when people are cheering and congratulating you for a good effort. There is technical support when people give you advice and feedback about your movements. The majority of our members are women and the majority of them can do pull-ups. However, the trainers didn’t teach that many of them, other members did. When you learn how to do something you’ve been working toward, you want to share that with others who are working toward it.
