1. How were you introduced to CrossFit Tacoma?

Lisa’s sister, Emily, told me about CrossFit.

2. What is your favorite movement or WOD?

The clean for sure, maybe the jerk a little too. I love how applicable it is to everyday life. That being said I do love Grace, can’t wait to see it come up soon!

3. What do you find to be the most challenging part of CrossFit?

The mental part for sure. The skills and movements will always be challenging, but the mental part to push myself past that comfortable point is by far the hardest thing!

4. What have you gained from being a member at CrossFit Tacoma?

Friends, almost my pre-baby body:) a whole new perspective on “working out”, and so much more!

5. What is the best job you’ve ever had?

A mom for sure, it’s the hardest most gratifying job I’ll ever have, and I feel so blessed to be able to do it. Second would have to be my time in the EMS field, it was hard and tiring as well, but the good always out weighed the bad, that’s what kept me coming back. A little like motherhood I guess.

6. What do you like to do for fun?

I love to play volleyball, I have played indoors my whole life and really enjoy it, but my new love as of the last 2 years is sand VB. I do CF cause I love it, but I have to say I love it even more because it makes me a better athlete!

7. If you could donate a million dollars to a non-profit organization which organization would you choose and why?

World vision. I love what they do for children and families. As a Christian I believe we are to take care of children that are in need. This organization does just that, and it teaches families how to provide and care for their children, while giving the hope of Christ.

8. Who is someone you really admire and why?

My mother. She is an amazing, patient, kind, humble, woman, who I feel blessed every day to have in my life.

9. What are some of your family traditions?

Every Christmas Eve we have fondue as a whole family. Ten adults and ten kids gather around and eat meat, veggie’s, cheese, and chocolate, and have great conversation. What could be a better family tradition than that?

10. What sports do you enjoy?

Refer to question 6. I also play softball, and newly thought I might enjoy golf, the jury is still out on that.

11. You are an amazing mom. Do you have any words of advice for new moms?

Oh, huh, lets see. Take 1 day at a time. We’re not given more then we can handle. The good times outweigh the bad, sometimes:) In all seriousness, I don’t feel like I’m amazing, I feel I’m blessed to be the parent of these wonderful girls, and just do the best I can each day and know that’s all I can do.

  1. Lisa says:

    Isn’t she beautiful?!
And she can do muscle ups!
And she has 4 adorable daughters!
    Andrea ROCKS!
I want a shirt that says, “If you want to be like Andrea, you have to train like Andrea.”
So sometimes I challenge myself with heavier weights, so I can be like her!
